Help a refugee student find a job with purpose
Together we can change their future
Refugee students have fled their homes and left ther family and possessions behind. They do take their talents with them wherever they go. They want to pick up thei rlives in the Netherlands and continue their studies and find suitable employment.
Refugee students often, however, encounter difficulties finding a job. Support with gaining insight into their talents and competencies, traineeships, coaching and leadership development enables 70% of them to find a job within a year (source: UAF).
In 2016 there were twice as many refugee students and this number is set to rise in the coming years.
For €12.500 a refugee student can join our coming Triple Value Leadership Program Bhutan. During the 4-month program the student will:
- Develop skills for sustainable entrepeneurship
- Develop personal leadership skills
- Gain insight into their talents, passions and competencies
- Meet senior managers with large networks
- Become a member of our Young Leaders Community
- Receive coaching by a mentor
Many refugees have completed their degrees in their country of origin. Unfortunately, the qualifications of doctors, lawyers, engineers and economists are not recognized in the Netherlands. To be able to start build a new life, they need to take up their studies again.
Flow Impact Fund wants to support these refugees because they have less opportunities to fully develop their capacities.
Through the Foundation of Student Refugees UAF 381 looks for a job. Of this number 53% has followed a course that is of interest to businesses [source: UAF]. This is why we want to support them in finding a job with impact so that they can create value for themselves, business and society.
Create impact for themselves, business and society
With your support we can help refugee students in exploring their personal and career goals, teach about sustainable entrepreneurship, offer them coaching and open up the Dutch job market through our network.
Our parner for our first project in the Netherlands is the foundation for Refugee Students (UAF). They support and counsel highly skilled refugees in the Netherlands. They help them with their study and finding suitable employment. The UAF helps them with a new start in the Netherlands.
Flow Impact Fund and Quality Education
Flow Impact Fund contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education and lifelong learning for all.
We do this by initiating projects for young people aged 15-25 with a background in vocational or higher education. They do no always have easy access to education and the Dutch job market and often start out with a disadvantage.
In 2017 we will start projects in the Netherlands and Bhutan.
